A Tradition of Excellence

The Simayof family has a proud diamond and exquisite jewelry design tradition. The Simayof name and the jewelry trade have been linked to each other for several generations, establishing an unquestionable, strong and forward-thinking reputation.

For years Yedidia Simayof invested his time learning the diamond industry from the bottom up. As a diamond cutter, he extensively studied the different aspects of optimizing the brilliancy of a diamond and as an owner of a diamond-cutting factory he developed a well-connected diamond dealership network that has crossed continents.

In 1987 the Simayof family relocated to the United States and opened its diamond wholesale operation and headquartered it in the cosmopolitan city of San Francisco, California. As part of its perpetual growth, the Simayof family expanded its tradition of excellence to the retail jewelry market. Believing that the retail market was the next logical step in our rapid growth, the family opened its first retail showroom in San Francisco's Union Square in 1989.

Our revolutionary vision and unique experience made Simayof Jewelers and Diamond Cutters an immediate success enjoying years of sustained growth. Simayof Diamond Cutters & Jewelers is now one of the largest self-contained diamond and jewelry emporiums in Northern California.

Believing that the success of the San Francisco retail operation could be expanded into other U.S. markets, Simayof opened its second retail showroom located in The Venetian Hotel and Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada, in July of 1999.

In May of 2000 we opened our third showroom in the prestigious Broadway Plaza Shopping Center in Walnut Creek, California.

Building on the success of its Las Vegas market Simayof opened one of two new concept stores in the Aladdin's Desert Passage.

The first, World of Charms store opened in December of 2000, it features over 6000 unique charms and is currently the only magnitude charm emporium.

The fourth Simayof location was opened in the Marina/Pacific Heights area in San Francisco in August of 2001.

The only next logical step to expand our retail success was to launch our Simayof.com Website. Our vision of the Internet recognizes that it is a powerful venue that overcomes physical boundaries.
