Reyes Capital is an investment management and financial planning consultancy. We design investment portfolios for serious, long-term investors. These portfolios are designed specifically for each client's risk tolerance, goals and time horizon. We manage equity and fixed income portfolios on a fee-only basis. The fee is based on the specific composition of each portfolio and total assets under management.

Financial planning is an integral part of the investment management process as it relates to individuals. At Reyes Capital we provide the financial planning necessary to help our clients afford a comfortable retirement, send their children to college, buy a home or care for elderly family members. Issues with respect to taxes, estate planning, real estate and insurance are raised during the first few meetings, and throughout the engagement as new circumstances arise; appropriate referrals to our close network of qualified professionals in each area are made when necessary.

Founded and run by Alex Reyes, MBA, Reyes Capital provides individuals and families with a balanced portfolio strategy. As a small, boutique advisory, we get to know each client, and their families, very well. All client accounts are custodied at Charles Schwab & Co. We focus on two things at Reyes Capital: managing assets in a sophisticated, tax-efficient manner and communicating with our clients.

Prior to founding Reyes Capital Management, Alexander J. Reyes, received a BS in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA in Finance from Golden Gate University. Alex was previously with Golden Gate Partners, Ltd., where he served as a co-portfolio manager. Most recently he was at Charles Schwab and Company, where he served as a senior mutual fund analyst, a fixed-income advisor and later as a Private Client portfolio manager in the Hillsborough/Burlingame area. He has lectured on investment topics throughout the Bay Area, and has appeared on local radio and television. Alex is an Instructor with the University of California at Berkeley Extension program, where he teaches a semester-long course on investing for individuals. He is also an adjunct faculty member of the University of Phoenix.

Reyes Capital is a Registered Investment Advisor with the State of California. Alex has passed the Series 7, 63 and 65 examinations, as well as Level I of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program. Alex, 40, is married and lives in the Presidio Heights section of San Francisco.
